We loved it here so much that we've only been back a week and are already looking at booking again. The most beautiful and peaceful place ever and the owners are lovely. Can't wait to go back!
There is no other way to describe this place other than paradise. Have stayed here 3 times now, and every time, it just gets better and better. If you're looking to unwind and get away from the rat race in a secluded place, then look no further!! Lucy & and Rich, who now run it, are lovely and can't do enough for you. Only if you need them, though other than that, they just leave you to enjoy your stay!! Also, the deer come to see you, and now you can even feed them with the food that is provided (truly a magical experience) . So what are you waiting for? Get booking!!!!

Our stay was amazing. The lodge is beautifully presented and has everything you could need. There was a bottle of prosecco which we enjoyed in the hot tub. Some deer visited us during our stay and we were provided food to feed them for £5 which was worth it. We ate at the Royal Forrester on the first night which was lovely. The owners are lovely and gave us time to get settled before showing us how to work things. Highly recommend and will be visiting again next year
We had a fabulous stay in the 2 bedroom lodge. Very well equipped, super comfortable beds and high quality furnishings. The outside space is superb! Great hot tub with incredible views across a meadow where wild deer roam. Highly recommend Forest View Retreat!

I really don't want to give 5* because there are only 3 cabins and demand will outstrip supply so when we want to go again we may well struggle due to the popularity ! on arrival we was met by Lucy whom came to the cabin to show how to operate the hot tub which was bliss. We almost had the wild deer eating out of our hand and had to get our tub refilled which was reasonable cost. if you want a quiet break away this is perfect ! can't wait to book again.
If I could give Forest View Retreat six stars I would. It is in a beautiful location with deer who come to visit you. The accommodation is to die for - fabulous bathroom, comfortable bed, lovely kitchen/living room. A balcony overlooking the meadow and the forest. And the hot tub is just great. Peaceful and truly a retreat but if you want to venture out there are lots of places to visit nearby with pubs in easy walking distance.
